Teen Mental Health
The Evelyn Lilly Lutz Foundation is committed to addressing the pressing mental health challenges faced by teens, particularly those from social media addiction and digital overexposure.
Recognizing the urgency of these issues, we launched the "Looking Up" series—a four-part initiative aimed at fostering meaningful conversations and driving tangible change in teen mental health. Moderated by renowned journalist Jim Braude, the series provides a platform for open, impactful conversations. We are proud to host these events on the Endicott College campus, creating a collaborative space for experts, educators, and community members to come together.
Our most recent event, “Social Media & Teen Minds” brought together experts and community members to discuss the mental health implications of social media use among teens. Keynote speaker Zach Rausch (researcher for The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt) emphasized the urgency of translating research into actionable steps to protect and support our youth.
Our next event, “Schools Lead the Way: From Phone Distractions to Focus” focus on strategies schools can implement to reduce phone-related distractions and enhance student focus and well-being.
